The new moon signifies the start of a new cycle. Itโs the time to formulate new intentions and re-evaluate existing ones.
This is a lower energy phase, so get plenty of rest and give yourself the space to connect with your true purpose, passion and mission. Set aside time for meditating or journaling, or head into nature for inspiration. From here you can set intentions which are aligned with your authentic self.
When you feel ready, write down your new intentions and go through your existing list to make sure they are still valid.
A new moon intention setting ritual will focus your manifestation energy.
Taurus rules the thyroid gland, so take some time to focus on thyroid health. Your thyroid is responsible for regulating hormones, metabolism, heart rate and much more, so it certainly deserves some kindness! Healthy eating, avoiding toxins (especially cigarettes) and getting enough sleep are all vital to keeping your thyroid happy. If you need to improve your sleeping patterns, try this sleep ritual for 3-5 consecutive nights.
You are able to tap into deep reserves of energy today but you may need to be careful how you focus them. If those around you seem to be on the defensive, check in with any projections before you weigh in. You may be confronted with an aspect of your shadow which is trying to come into consciousness.

An intention setting ritual can be done just after the time of the new moon to focus energy into your intentions.
An intention is a guiding principle with which to live by. Your intentions should define how you want to feel, the things you would like to experience and the personal qualities and strengths you want develop. Think about your core values, and the kind of life you want to live. Intentions should be written in the present tense and in a positive form. For example, instead of saying “I want to stop eating so much junk food” you could write “I feel healthy and vital”. The first one is a goal – but the second is the intention (the “why”) behind the goal.
This is just a suggestion – always be open to your own intuition to create a variation that feels right for you.
Begin by cleansing your sacred space – this can be done by smoke purification or lightly spraying with moon water or liquid smudge.
Center yourself in any way that feels comfortable – deep breathing, free drawing, chanting, meditating or using singing bowls.
Focus on formulating your intentions, what do you truly want from your life? Keep your intentions positive and motivating. You can also use oracle cards to get insight into what it is you truly desire.
Light a candle, then write each of your intentions on a separate piece of paper. Say each one aloud, then spend a few minutes visualizing that it has already manifested.
Hold the intention in your mind and do any any of the following:
โฝ Create a crystal grid around it
โฝ Burn it in a fireproof container
โฝ Bury it in soil (write your intention on seeded paper)
โฝ Place it in a bowl of water
When you are done with all of them, blow out the candle and thank the universe in advance for manifesting your intentions.

Do this sleep ritual for 3 or more consecutive nights, to reprogram your sleeping patterns.
Tuck a medicine pillow into the corner of your pillowcase. (See below for how to make one)
Do 20 minutes of restorative yoga. If you are new to yoga, there are many guided classes available online.
Pour a bath – add epsom salts and a few drops of lavender or bergamot oil, and light some candles.
Have a cup of chamomile or passionflower tea while it draws – set the intention for restful sleep as you sip.
Choose a point of focus while you bath – it could be music, a candle flame, or simply your breath. Allow your mind wander, but if any stressful thoughts or worries arise, gently bring your focus back to this point.
After your bath, get into bed and take 10 deep breaths – aim for at least 4 counts on both the inhale and exhale.
Create a medicine pillow by filling a small pouch with any combination of lavender, mugwort, bay, thyme, oregano, chamomile and rosemary. You can add a few drops of bergamot oil, and include one or more small crystals that have been charged with your intention for peaceful sleep.
